The F-5A Freedom Fighters of the Dutch Air Force ( Koninklijke Luchtmacht ) was made in country, after an initial order of Northrop made F-5As, Fokker received some unassembled kits, to become familiar with the industriasl methods, gradually being assembled with a growing number of domestic parts, being the last batch completely manufactured in the Netherlands, continued to use until recently, as attack aircraft, while the F-16 engaged in air defense.
